Communication Skills

Communication is, and always has been, the key to successful relationships. It is your ability to communicate effectively that will determine where you end up in the game of life.

A basic presupposition of communication in our model is, "the meaning of your communication is the response you get". This puts the onus of getting your message across on you.

If getting the message across is your responsibility, then how do you go about it? You would need to deliver in a way that the other person would be able to receive and understand the point you're trying to get across.

We all have preferences when it comes to how we process information. Some of us are primarily visual, others auditory and the rest, kinaesthetic. So, if you are a visually oriented person who needs to paint pictures and are talking to a kinaesthetic person who needs to get a handle on what you're saying, there may well be a mismatch in getting the message across.

Communication also takes place on non verbal levels. Being able to calibrate what is going on with the other person in response to your message is a very useful skill.

Our communication coaching and training is based on the Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP) model. We teach you how to become effective communicators by learning your communication style, and how to recognise and adapt to other styles when necessary. Part of what you will learn is directive questioning, designed to enable getting to the heart of a matter and hypnotic language patterns to persuade others to your point of view.

Our Contribution to making the world a better place:

We donate 10% and more of our total gross income to charities including Opportunity International who specialise in giving people a hand up rather than a hand out.

This is done via enabling the poorest of the poor to create micro businesses that support not only themselves, but up to 70-80 people in their local communities.

In other words, teaching them how to fish and finding new fishing grounds.
